10/19/2007 - Recent updates have been made to the website. A section titled Fixing Network Issues has been created to minimize difficulties when attempting to connect to the network. The tutorials provided are downloadable as both Flash videos and PDF documents.

9/25/2006 - During the last few weeks several buildings including the Campus Center, Maintenance and Admissions/Financial Aid were upgraded to gigabit connections to the core network.

9/28/2006 - On Saturday, September 30th, between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM, UMATS staff will be making a series of changes to the UMATS core routing configuration. These changes are necessary to accommodate the upcoming DWDM fiber ring. The cogent ISP connection will also have some hardware replaced during this window, which should make the connection more stable. Users may see short (1-2 minute) losses of connectivity to parts of the Internet during this period. It is not expected that any sites will lose connectivity entirely as a result of this work.
